Lorna Saguba

PNG Researcher

Lorna Saguba is from Papua New Guinea. Her maternal family connections are to people of Tuam Island in the Siassi Archipelago of Morobe Province, where her traditional name  is Sawina. Her paternal family connections are to the people of Harengan and Mbuke Islands of Manus Province, where she is Hilan and Arupbaringhe. With qualifications in business and education, she has a varied background including English teaching and learning support work. Lorna enjoys creative writing and has two online published poems. Lorna Saguba undertook the fieldwork for the Yaga village case study for the Rising Stories project.
