Dr Sione Nailasikau Halatuituia (PhD international development), of Tonga (resident in New Zealand), is a consultant, leader and practitioner in Pacific development, with experience working across the region. He has particular expertise in climate and sustainability as well as Pacific land tenure systems and development. He also has significant experience in providing in-depth comparative analysis on complex issues to identify and inform feasible options. Dr Halatuituia works across the Pacific region promoting renewable energy. Dr Sione Nailasikau Halatuituia was the researcher for the Tongan case studies in the Rising Stories project.
